Tamera is a peace research and education center in the Alentejo, Portugal. It is an intentional community of around 160 people working on models for a nonviolent, regenerative culture – including peacework, community building, ecology, water retention, love and sexuality, education and post-capitalist ways of living. Its stated mission is to support a global shift “from war to peace, from exploitation to cooperation, from fear to trust.
