The Ramírez community is a neighbourhood of waste pickers located in the hills of central-eastern Bogotá, where about 300 people live. In this neighbourhood, literally everything is recycled: the houses (made of tarpaulin and zinc tiles), the sewage pipes, the tables, an obstacle course. The neighbours built here the park that the children of the area deserved. "Ramírez is a different park to those built by the Mayor's Office, because it responds to the geography of the lot where we were working". They were guided by everyday references and built a pirate ship. The handrails, obstacle course and swings are attractive for the children, who while enjoying the game also explore, observe and stimulate creativity.
