Las Cañadas is an Agroecology and Permaculture Center, where one of the last islands of cloud forest in the central zone of Veracruz is located. They use Permaculture as a design tool in order to learn, implement and share a sustainable way of living. Developing creative solutions to current environmental and social problems, as well as to adapt to the era of "energy descent" (more expensive and scarcer oil) that is just beginning in our "civilized" culture.
